Winter Blooms
My painting of Hamilton’s industrial waterfront, Light Fire and Steam joins the work of eleven other artists at the Carnegie Gallery for Winter Blooms. This magical winter event combines art and artefacts with floral designs inspired by the work. The floral designs will be installed for the opening reception on January 25, from 6 to 8 pm and remain until the closing January 28. winterblooms.ca
I’m in good company. Other artists at Carnegie are Shu Chen Cheng, Colleen O’Reilly, Lynn Chidwick, Lora Moore-Kakaletris, Marguerite Larmand, Peter Kirkland, Robert Clark Yates, Pat Kozowyck, Maggie Shepherd, Lorne Toews, and Peter Fischer.
The floral designs are by Wendy Downing, Gary Fleming, Janice Laser, Zorica Krasulja, Marguerite Larmand, Linda Hartley, Elizabeth Schleicher, Carol Embree, Jeanette Cross, Marie Sharp, Allison Osterman, and Gerri-Lyn Ard.

I’m going to be teaching two classes at the DVSA tomorrow (Thursday) from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Depending on how tired I am, I’ll try to head over to the Carnegie after my last class. Otherwise, I’ll grab Su and we will see it this weekend.
